I am beautiful.

What does it mean to you to be beautiful? There is such beauty all around us. We often overlook it and take it for granted. And we often struggle to see it within ourselves.

Inner Beauty

Do people light up when you enter a room, taking in the beautiful energy you radiate? Are you a creative person, adding artistic beauty to your surroundings? Do you have a way of moving through the world that puts people at ease?

Physical Beauty

What do you see when you look in the mirror? What is your favorite feature? That glint in your eye as you share a genuine smile with a stranger…that’s beautiful!

You are more beautiful than you realize…how do you add beauty to the world?

BGH_Brave.jpg

I am brave.

What does bravery look like to you? Yes, there’s the courage required to enter a burning building or climb a tree to rescue a kitten…but what are the less obvious acts of bravery?

Ways to be brave

Speaking up for the oppressed. • Living your life with honesty. • Showing up with your whole-self to every situation. • Taking a bold fashion risk. • Raising your hand to volunteer. • Asking a question in class. • Asking for help. • Being yourself.

You are braver than you know…how do you demonstrate your bravery to others?

BGH_Enough.jpg

I am enough.

We spend so much of our time, energy, and money trying to feel fulfilled. We often try so hard to be more than we are, or pretend to be something we are not. What if you stopped chasing the idea of what you should have or who you should be…and spent time basking in the glory of who you are right now?

“You are enough. you have enough.”

Spend a few minutes each day repeating that mantra. Spend time giving gratitude for where you are right now. Enjoy the moment, enjoy who you are today, celebrate all the good things…the future will take care of itself.

You are enough…how do you stay fulfilled?

BGH_Loved.jpg

I am loved.

It might not always feel that way…but you are loved! People can be cruel, depression and loneliness can make us feel unloved, perhaps you feel unworthy of being loved. You are made of love, and you are worthy of receiving it!

Feelings of love are feelings of connection

Look for ways to make connections within your social circle, your family, your community. Say hi to a stranger, engage them in a conversation and feel the gentle warmth of love kindle through connection. Put yourself out there and you will find your tribe.

Give the love you are longing to receive

One of the best ways to feel loved…is to give out the love you’re longing for. Look all around you for the small acts of love that you might miss if you aren’t seeking with open eyes and an open heart…a word of kindness, a warm smile, the cuddle of a pet, an embrace.

Love is like a boomerang…if you keep putting it out there, I promise it will come back to you!

You are more loved than you realize…what makes you feel loved?

BGH_Space.jpg

I am allowed to take up space.

We are made to expand, not to contract! So many of us spend our lives making ourselves smaller. We edit ourselves, silencing our voice before we even try to speak. We shy away to the corners of the room. We spend years of our lives dieting and trying to achieve “perfection.”

You are made perfectly, and you do not need to make yourself smaller…you cannot stay silent!

healthy Ways for you to take up space

Speak up in a meeting and share your brilliant ideas. • Volunteer in your community. • Go out dancing…in the middle of the dance floor! • Go find an outfit that makes you feel fantastic, and have it tailored to really fit. • Practice yoga…really take in those power poses. • Go to a sporting event and really give it your all in the cheering department.

You are allowed to take up space…how do you fill the space around you?

BGH_Strong.jpg

I am strong.

There is a strength within each of us to take on more than we will ever realize we able to. Sometimes it comes in the form of a lion’s roar…but more often it lies quietly within, giving us the strength to take on the little challenges of each day.

The fire in your belly…ways to feel stronger

Take a walk or exercise. • Learn a new skill. • Speak up for yourself. • Follow someone you admire on social media. • Find your power anthem and listen to it first thing when you wake up. • Form a new, healthy habit. • Don’t be pressured to say yes, when you really need to say no.

You are stronger than you know…what challenges have you overcome to be where you are today?

BGH_Valued.jpg

I am valued.

Feeling valued comes from adding value! It requires you to actively add goodness to the lives of those around you. Sometimes you will find yourself in a position to make a grand gesture…but those only come so often. There are a million tiny ways you can add a drop of value into the buckets of everyone you meet. And value doesn’t just mean money…you can add value without spending a single penny!

A few ways you can add value to your friends, family, and community

Give someone the gift of your time and attention. • Ask someone how you can help them, and then follow through. • Surprise someone with a small gift…it could be as simple as a Hershey's Kiss and a note letting them know you thought of them. • Give someone a boost of confidence with a word of encouragement. • Send someone a Big, Giant Hug!

You are valued…how do you add to your community and the world around you?

BGH_Worthy.jpg

I am worthy.

You are not worthless…you are worthy of love. You deserve greatness. You deserve wonderful things. It might take a lot of work to achieve that greatness…but you are worthy of it. Keep working towards your goals.

A sense of worth can only come from within

You can wait for the world to tell you how great you are, but you will be waiting a long time. The truth is, you must tell yourself you are worthy, valuable, beautiful, strong, loved, and enough. Until you believe it, no one else will!

“I am worthy of love, respect, and greatness.”

Repeat this mantra for a few minutes each day. Stop looking for external validation…own your worth and bring it into being.

You are worthy…what are you working towards that you deserve?
